Loving my Softies Discovery

Wow. It has been an incredible two weeks. A sweet friend of mine introduced me to Child’s Own Studio at childsown.wordpress.com, and I of course fell in love with Wendy’s work. Wendy takes childrens’ drawings and turns them into lovely stuffed toys(softies). They are absolutely amazing! The most exciting part, perhaps, is that she was looking for other “softie” makers to direct some of her web traffic to because she is so bogged down with requests. I was thrilled!  So, naturally I contacted her and have been added to her list which goes live tomorrow.  The crazy part has been that, since I decided not to renew my website BabyBagBoutique.com back in January, I have had to make some decisions about what to do, and quickly at that. So, after putting it out there for my friends and family, I have decided on the Blog. So, I am still figuring it out and I have a lot to learn. But I feel better today than I did yesterday.  I am so excited about making these little guys! They are so much fun, and each one so unique. And, I am excited about all the directions that this blog can take me. I definitely felt limited in my old website.

That being said, I am so excited to announce that Riley’s softie will be done soon. It is looking fantastic. One of my ideas that I had been tossing around is about to become a reality. I am going to have Riley’s name, age and the year embroidered on her lovely doll as a nice finishing touch. Can’t wait to get some pictures up for you to see.

Hello world!

So, I decided to go with a Blog! (Thanks Dan!) The only thing is…I am a total dimwit when it comes to this stuff. I really don’t like it. I don’t want to learn how to set up my blog. Frankly, I don’t have time to figure it all out but by the grace of God. I love to sew and create. That’s what I love to do. If only I could skip this whole aspect of getting myself out there it would be great. So, bear with me as I take this whole blog thing on one step at a time. I am overwhelmed, argh.
