Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes Me different from other Softie-Makers?

A: Well, I am just me. I am sure that all the softie-makers are incredibly talented. Each one of us has a unique flare, I imagine. I suggest that you look at our projects individually and closely to see who has created work that you are drawn to the most. We are all about in the same price range. So, it just comes down to our individual artistic interpretation and how we express it uniquely!

Q: How did you come up with this softie idea?

A: I didn’t! This brilliant idea comes from Child’s Own Studio at childsown.wordpress.com. Thank you Wendy(owner of childsownstudio.com) for opening the door and for sharing!

Q: How big are your softies?

A: Typically between 10 and 14 inches.

Q: What is your turn around time?

A: This really depends on how busy I am, the size of the job, and the degree of complexity and hand sewing that the job requires. When you submit an inquiry I will let you know my estimated turn-around time. Typically my turn-around time is 3-4 weeks from the time of payment being received. Rush orders are available, however an additional charge may be required.

Q: Do you ship to Mexico?

A: Yes. I ship to all international locations. Include your address in your inquiry and I will include a shipping quote when I respond.

Q: How much does it cost to have a softie made?

A: My charge is between $75 and $150 USD, plus shipping. It depends on the specific drawing.

Q: Do you recreate trademarked characters?

A: No, because it would be illegal and unethical to do so. Sorry. Besides, original works by your children are so much more interesting and amazing.

Q: Do you create works by adults?

A: I don’t mind creating adult work as long as it is appropriate.

Q: How did you learn how to do that?

A: My sweet Aunt Linda taught me how to sew when I was 11 years old combined with the fact that I spent many long hours in the garage with my dad when I was a little girl tinkering and building. Gosh, I think I can figure out how to make just about anything.
